University of Colorado Denver Demo - 23 April 2014

I had an opportunity to pack up the dark box, chemicals and camera and head over to UC Denver to do a demonstration for Carol Golemboski's photography class. 

When I returned to the states in 2011, this was one of the things I wanted to do as much as I could. My goal is to influence American university students to think more about photography and in different ways - wet collodion is a great catalyst for this. At minimum, it gives them something to think about. Like all things in life, options are good.

The Studio Q Show - S01E03: Varnishing

Episode three is all about varnish. It's another long video, but I think you'll get a lot out of it. I cover Gum Sandarac, Shellac, and Modern Acrylic varnishes. I hope you find it useful and/or interesting.

The Studio Q Show S01E01 - Introduction

I'm starting this series of videos on the technical, conceptual, and philisophical topics in historic photographic processes. I'm going to start with the wet collodion process and move on from there.
